Plymouth on Tap

Saturday 14 March 2026

Men’s Day Out is a huge fixture in Plymouth, a day where thousands of men take on the walk and raise vital funds for St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth. The event starts and ends at Plymouth Albion on Saturday 14th March, a day of shared miles, conversations, and something genuinely meaningful. Alongside that, Plymouth on Tap has put together a pub crawl with Wilful Beer as part of the picture, offering an optional way for people to join Simon as he sets off from the Plymouth Albion Rugby Ground and hits some local pubs along the route – making his way back to Albion for the 3pm Rugby game! It’s informal, community driven, and entirely about giving space for conversation, reflection and connection in good local pubs, while the focus of the day remains exactly where it should be.

Men’s Day Out

Men’s Day Out is a charity walk organised by St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth, and anyone who wants to take part must sign up directly through the St Luke’s website. Registration is essential and places are limited, with the walk starting and finishing at Plymouth Albion Rugby Ground at Brickfields. This is the official event, the fundraising engine, and the reason the day exists, raising vital money for hospice care while giving men space to walk, talk, and support one another along the way.

Wilful Beer, Mutley Plain

Wilful Beer on Mutley Plain is one of the places you can pick up a Plymouth on Tap passport for the day. Known for bold, modern beers and doing things properly, their tap house is a natural stopping point and a familiar space for good conversation. Passports are free but very limited, so if you’re planning to take part in the crawl, grabbing one early from Wilful is strongly advised.

Around the City and Back Again

Plymouth on Tap has added this additional layer to the event by creating a optional pub crawl with the support of Wilful Beer. The route is loose by design, letting people dip in and out, meet friends, sit, talk, or wander at their own pace through pubs that already play a big part in Plymouth life. The intention is simple, enjoy the city, enjoy the company, and still make your way back to Plymouth Albion to finish the day where it started.

A Plymouth Day, Done Properly

This is about doing something meaningful, then spending time together in places that know how to hold conversation, laughter, reflection and the odd quiet moment. Men’s Day Out stays exactly what it is, Plymouth on Tap adds a social thread for those who want it, and Wilful Beer helps anchor it all in the city. Walk it, talk it, support St Luke’s, and if you fancy a pint along the way, do it thoughtfully and do it together.
