Plymouth’s Favourite Pub 2025 - The Dolphin

Sixteen weeks. Sixty-four pubs. Thousands of votes, arguments, laughs and late-night loyalties. This has been the biggest thing Plymouth’s pub scene has ever seen, and it’s all down to you.

A Citywide Celebration

What started as a bit of fun became a full-scale showcase of Plymouth’s pub culture. Every round brought surprises, old loyalties, and a few friendly rivalries that proved how much these places matter.

The Final Showdown

When the dust settled, two legends remained. The Dolphin Inn and the Artillery Arms. Two very different pubs with the same heartbeat, community, history and pride.

The Result

From 1,200 comments, 1,084 were confirmed as valid votes. The Dolphin Inn took the crown with 718 to the Artillery Arms’ 366. A fair, fierce contest that captured the city’s imagination.

Respect Where It’s Due

This result doesn’t take a thing away from the Artillery Arms. Belinda and Elaine have made it a local that Stonehouse can be proud of, a proper community hub where everyone’s welcome.

The Power of People

More than 6.4 million people interacted with the page throughout the competition. That number alone shows how much love Plymouth still has for its pubs.

Every Pub Counts

The truth is, there were no losers. Every landlord, barmaid, regular and newcomer who kept their pub alive over these weeks became part of something much bigger.

The Champion of the Barbican

The Dolphin now stands as Plymouth’s Favourite Pub 2025. It’s a victory built on generations of laughter, salt air, and the sound of a packed bar that feels like home.

A Tribute to the Locals

From hidden backstreets to waterfront haunts, every pub that took part reminded us why Plymouth’s pint still tastes better than anywhere else. You made history together.
