Plymouth on Tap

What Are These Meet-Ups, Then?

It’s simple. Every so often, I pick a pub, put the word out, and anyone who fancies it turns up for a pint. No name badges. No speeches. No awkward ice-breakers. Just people who like pubs, decent chat, and not drinking alone.

Who Can Come?

Anyone. Doesn’t matter if you’re new to Plymouth, born and bred, or just passing through and want a reason to explore a boozer you’ve not tried before. You don’t need to be funny, clever, or even interesting. It doesn’t even need to be in Plymouth. Just don’t be a dick.

How Will I Know When One’s On?

I post all meet-ups on the Facebook page and usually give at least a week’s notice. Times, dates, pub name, maybe a loose theme (like “cosy corners” or “carpeted and proud”). No tickets, no fees, no pressure. Turn up, say hi, stay for one or three.

Fancy a Pint With Strangers? Sounds Worse Than It Is.

If you’re unsure, nervous, or thinking “I won’t know anyone”, you’re not alone. Most people turn up solo. Everyone’s welcome, unless you work for Greene King’s PR team.

No pressure, no pretence.

Need an excuse to get out, visit a decent pub, and meet a few people who aren’t total bellends? If that sounds like your kind of evening, keep an eye on the socials or give me a nudge. Worst case? You leave with a half-decent pint and a story. Best case? You find your new favourite boozer.
